Hello Reader, Shifting Out of Stress and Into PeaceStress has a way of creeping in quietly, until one day it feels like it has taken up permanent residence. The news pummels us with negativity. We move so fast, carry so much, and before we realize it, our bodies are living in a constant state of fight or flight. I’ve come to see stress not as the enemy, but as a messenger. It whispers: what matters most to you is being neglected. It points to the space between how we want to live and how we are actually living. Not all stress is harmful—sometimes it sharpens our focus or calls forth our best. But when it becomes the water we swim in, it pulls us away from peace, clarity, and joy. The way back doesn’t have to be dramatic. It begins with small, simple practices—gentle shifts that remind us to breathe, to notice, to realign. That is why I created a short guide: Each practice is a doorway back to yourself—an invitation to return to presence, wellness, and the quiet joy that waits beneath the noise.
Today's Threshold QuestionWhere are my priorities misaligned? Setting boundaries, understanding what matters, listening to your heart and and body are all ways of being present. If you need to recalibrate with what matters, take a few minutes (maybe 5 minutes) and listen to one of the chapters in my book Everyday Epiphanies: Uncovering Wisdom in Ordinary Moments. In this chapter I challenge the excuse "If I had time." How often do you say these words, followed by what you'd prefer to be doing? "If I had the time, I would spend more time in nature, work out more, visit my friends, etc." You'll learn what I discovered about aligning my priorities with my activities.
If you'd like the audiobook version of Everyday Epiphanies, you can find it on Spotify HERE or on Eleven Labs HERE. With care, P.S. Peace and Joy don’t arrive all at once. They show up in small moments when we are present. Begin with one simple practice today.
