Stepping Out of the Storm Into Calm

Stepping Out of the Storm and Into Calm

Hello Reader,

There's a saying: "May you live in interesting times." I'm not sure exactly where it comes from but it certainly applies to our times now.

We are surrounded by noise coming at us from everywhere. It's easy to despair, to buy into the fear, and to isolate from our community.

A friend recently asked me, “Why should I care about personal development when the world is going to shit?”

Our conversation inspired this post on my blog. I share my answer here.

What's New?

I'm happy to share that my memoir, The Shaman's Wife: A Mystical Journey of Surrender and Self-Discovery is doing well. If you've read the book, please take a moment to submit a review on Amazon, even if you didn't buy the book from Amazon. It helps so much.

If you participate or run a book club, I'd be happy to give a presentation on the book and offer complimentary copies of the Companion Journal and Book Club Guide to your members. You can reply to this email or use the Email Me Here button below. Past presentations have included behind-the-scenes scoop, talks on leading a creative life, why memoir is different and tips on writing in general.

One Last Thing: Musings

It's mid-February and there's still a chill in the air. Yet, the Algarve always reminds me that everything moves in cycles. It's a challenge to stay present when I'm yearning for summer!

Here's my invitation to reply to this email and let me know how you're doing. What's challenging you? What's exciting you? What plans would you like to share? How can I support those? I'd love to hear from you.

Blessings and thank you for being here with me.
